Indian producer blacklists Filmfare grants in dissent against Pakistani designations

MUMBAI : An Indian producer has declined to go to the Filmfare grants over the assignments of Pakistani craftsmen.

The producer who is a beneficiary of a few Filmfare grants has taken the move as a show of dissent and said that she won’t go to any service in which Pakistani craftsmen are welcomed.

No less than four Pakistani craftsmen have been selected for the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 because of held in Mumbai.

Fawad Khan has been assigned in the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) classification for his part in Kapoor and Sons.

Two Pakistani vocalists have been selected in the Best Playback Singer (Male) classification. Atif Aslam for Tere Sang Yara (Rustom) and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for Jag Ghoomeya (Sultan).

Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch (QB) has been assigned in the Best Playback Singer (Female) classification for her tune Kari in Pink.
